Longines Watches: Saint-Imier Origins and the Winged Hourglass Legacy

In 1832, Auguste Agasi of Switzerland started a watch business in Saint-Imier, which was then continued by his nephew Ernest Francillon, who opened a watch factory in LesLongines, Switzerland, in 1866. 1867 saw the establishment of Francillon's "Longines" company.
